WORK IS LIFE
Most of us spend at least half of our lives at work, literally. Shouldn’t we therefore in some way make what we do more meaningful, or at the very least share what we have learned along the way?
I have always worked in hospitality, from an early age in fact. That is with the exception of a year or so out of the industry, during which time I had the great pleasure of working for Peter Kolevas and Ian Whitworth at SceneChange, Australia’s most awarded AV hire and production company. At the same time I was privileged to lecture and tutor at Southern Cross University, Sydney Hotel School Campus. But hotel general management has been my thing and hospitality has been my life. Looking back over the years, I have worked with some great people and had some amazing experiences that only a career in hotels can offer you.
WORK
“If you wake one morning and realise you don’t like going to work, it is time to change jobs.
Having done that, if you are still not happy, it is time to change careers.”

Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility is mainstream in business these days. I have been lucky in the past to work for a company that placed CSR at the heart of its operating philosophy. Through this I had the opportunity to contribute to local communities in ways I would otherwise never have done.
