Project Description
I lived in Penang for exactly three years from October 2018 to 2021, while working for Banyan Tree (hotel) Group. Following my time in China, I moved there to form a team to open and manage the pre-opening process for the Angsana Teluk Behang, a 250 room hotel overlooking the main beach, not far from Batu Ferringhi.
It was a memorable time and I made some good friends, both at work and within the local community. There are a few posts on this site in the ‘life space’ tab that relate to that time if you want to take a look.
This gallery features a few images relating to the local fishing tradition, a few of the last remaining wooden houses on the eastern side of the island, native animals that I saw and one or two pictures of historic sites and Penang tourism icons.
