Project Description

I lived in Lijiang for nearly four years.

Lijiang is the home of the Nakhi minority people, one of 58 officially recognised minority groups in China.

They have a long history, with their own culture and customs. Their language is unique with its own spoken and written forms. The written or pictographic form is one of the last remaining in the world.

This gallery contains images of their fast disappearing way of life.
